the disorientation of living
within a power structure

where the necessary action
to sustain the life of the planet

is entirely antithetical
to the power structure

and yet entirely moral-
amidst the abstraction of what

is in fact “pro-life”
and the conflation of Christian

and correct-
is paralyzing

at a time when paralysis itself
is immoral and antithetical to life

to do what is necessary
if we are to go on living

would be the utmost treason
to the power structure

and the utmost allegiance
to reality.

to be put at risk of imprisonment
(for profit)

for intervening with the legal
annihilation of the planet

is the ultimate treason
and it is exactly

the status we find ourselves in.
we are placed in the impossible position

of rejecting the entire premise
in order to preserve a parcel

of 3.7 billion years
of proliferation.
