Wet behind the ears

From black velvet space
Fingertips over newborn skin

Tender care first embrace
Everything in its right place

Take care, soft creature, beware

the terrible master, embark
down rapids we rage

Tide pushes upstream
In the difference between the surface

and the depths

and everyone is us. We began as minerals
